The Eastern Cape boasts a number of fantastic game reserves that offer an incredible amount of Fauna and Flora diversity. During an Eastern Cape Safari experience, guests can expect to see a large variety of African wildlife, including the “Big Five” (elephant, leopard, buffalo, lion and rhino), particularly in the Addo region. Hundreds of bird species, some of which are only found in this Eastern Cape region, have attracted bird lovers from all over the world.
Many visitors to the Eastern Cape choose to stay in some of the safari lodges, game farms, and guest houses which are dotted all around the Addo Elephant Park and the Eastern Cape. This allows for a wide variety off accommodation ranging from 5 star private game reserves to very affordable accommodation surrounding the National Parks. Besides the ever-popular Addo Elephant National Park, there are several excellent safari parks and private game reserves located near the village of Addo and in the Eastern Cape. On these game reserves excellent accommodation is offered as well as guided wildlife safaris (daytime as well as night safaris) can also be enjoyed by over night visitors.
