Travelling through the Garden Route in South Africa is a must for any visitor to our shores. The below package is a short, value for money journey that will take you to a few of the main attractions along the world famous Garden Route.
This Garden Route self drive tour departs from Cape Town and travels along the coastline mostly to Port Elizabeth. This self drive tour is very easy to navigate and the roads are fantastic.
Day 1:
Guests collect their rental vehicle in Cape Town where they will depart from and travel through the Winelands and onto Oudtshoorn where you will overnight at the Queens Hotel or similar Guest House. There are a number of stops guests can enjoy en route to Oudtshoorn at the various little Towns along the Route 62.
Day 2:
Guided tour through the Featherbed Nature Reserve
Guests enjoy breakfast which is included in the hotel rate before exploring the region. I recommended visit, is the Cango Caves and one of the several Ostrich Farms in the area. This region was the Ostrich Capital of the World at one stage. We also can recommend a visit to the Cango Wildlife Ranch where you can interact with a number of wildlife species. From Oudtshoorn the guests travel down to Knysna over the Outeniqua Maountain Pass. Travelling through the town of Wilderness will start to let you know why this region is known as the Garden Route. On arrival in Knysna guests check in at the guesthouse and enjoy the afternoon enjoying the Knysna Lagoon and surrounds.
Day 3:
Today guests will enjoy the surrounding area and the activities. There are a number of activities guests can enjoy, our recommended morning activity is the Featherbed Nature Reserve where guests enjoy a short ferry ride over the Knysna Lagoon and then a guided tour of the nature reserve with a famous buffet lunch thereafter.

Day 4:After breakfast guest continue along the Garden Route stopping at several key attractions of their choice, places like Birds of Eden, Monkey Land, Raptor park, a wolf sanctuary to name a few. The worlds highest Bungee Jump is located on the Bloukrans Bridge and then the Big Tree. The guests can stop over at the Tsitsikamma National Park for a fantastic short walk through the forest and over the Storms River mouth. Guests then travel a short distance to the Tsitsikamma Village Inn Hotel where they will overnight.
Day 5:
Guests enjoy breakfast and then their pre booked tree top canopy tour through the Tsitsikamma National Park forest. After this fantastic adventure activity guests travel to Port Elizabeth, guests can stop en route at the various costal villages like St Francis Bay and Jeffreys Bay. On arrival in Port Elizabeth guests drop their vehicle off at the Port Elizabeth Airport and continue on their journey to the next part of their safari or onward home.
